The Dental Implant Process

Once we’ve determined that the patient is a good candidate for dental implants, the first step of treatment is the surgical placement of one or more implants into the jawbone. While most dentists have to refer out for this portion of the procedure, Dr. Nashed handles it right here in his Long Beach or Arcadia office for your convenience. Following this placement, patients undergo a period of healing, during which the implants and the bone and gum tissue bond with one another creating a strong foundation for your replacement teeth.

Implant Retained Dentures

In cases of individual implants, a custom-made dental crown restores lost structure and aesthetic quality. However, this method becomes costly when restoring several implants at once. In these cases, we recommend implant-retained prosthetics that resemble traditional dentures but are designed to securely attach to implants creating a more confident fit. This restoration can be fixed or removable depending on the patient’s preference.
