Matt Nashed, DDS, MS

Dr. Matt Nashed Dr. Matt Nashed is a native of Cairo, Egypt and graduated from Cairo Dental College in 1985. Both of Dr. Nashed's parents are dentists. Dr. Nashed's father is a general practitioner and his mother is a Professor Emeritus at Cairo Dental College. While in Egypt, Dr. Nashed practiced as a general dentist for 6 years with his father.

To further his education and expertise, Dr. Nashed received an additional dental degree from the University of Tennessee in 1995, which has the equivalent reputation in the South as USC does in the West. He was ranked second in his class of eighty students and graduated with high honors.

Since Dr. Nashed especially enjoyed working with children, he decided to gain more experience as a pediatric dental resident at the St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. During his two-year residency, he had the opportunity to do some interceptive orthodontic therapy, which he thoroughly enjoyed. So much so that he decided to become an orthodontic specialist and started the three-year graduate orthodontic program at the University of Tennessee. In 1998, Dr. Nashed graduated and received his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics.

Because of Dr. Nashed's experience in both general and children's dentistry and his dedication to learning and research, he was recognized and honored with five awards for excellence. He was further honored by his election into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious honor society limited to the top 10 percent of the graduating class.

Dr. Nashed has been practicing children's dentistry and orthodontics for over 20 years in Southern California.  He has treated over 400 Invisalign cases and is a certified Invisalign lecturer.
